The headline today on the Hurriyet Turkish daily news seemed to shock readers:
These guys are not kidding. And the media is also going ballistics (see Washington Post, The Jerusalem Post and Turkish Today’s Zaman, also here).
The media explosion started when the head of a provincial branch of Turkey’s ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) has stirred the pot by tweeting that the country should “get ready for the caliphate” of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Fuat Özgür Çalapkulu, the head of the AKP in the eastern province of Siirt, sent the controversial tweet on March 17, hours after Selahattin Demirtaş, the co-leader of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP), said his party “will never let you be president [in a presidential system].”
In his tweet, Çalapkulu said Erdoğan’s opponents had in the past claimed that Erdoğan could not even be a village headman, but in fact he managed to rise to the top of the Turkish state.
“Now they are saying he cannot be president [under a presidential system]. The caliph is coming, get ready,” he added, referring to Erdoğan as “the tall man,” like many of his supporters.
A caliph is a spiritual leader of Islam who claims succession from Prophet Muhammad. The word, stemming from the Arabic khalifa meaning “successor,” has been the focus of much debate since being claimed by the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).
After his tweet triggered an outcry, Çalapkulu changed the status of his Twitter account to “protected,” ensuring that only confirmed followers have access to his tweets. And in order to cover up the announcement of a “Caliph” he released a written statement on March 19, saying he has a different “perception” of the word “caliph” so he amended his statement to what seems to be advancing a Mahdi:
“I use this word to refer to a leader who has command of all the problems, institutions and administration of his country; a leader who is the independent and powerful voice of the world’s downtrodden; the protector of the oppressed; a good, successful, pioneering and visionary leader”
Such a statement is even worse, for it is hinting the announcement of an Islamic Mahdi who is the last Caliph before the end of time. The Mahdi as Islam teaches, comes for the “downtrodden” and the “protector of the oppressed” and is exactly the image Erdogan tries to portray himself to be.
As Muslim scholars on the Mahdi declared that the Muslim oppressed and poor will cry out to him saying “Give to me Mahdi” that “Allah will sow love of him in the hearts of all people.”
This is exactly how Erdogan is portrayed as he funds so many programs in poor Muslim states. The Mahdi in Islam is the bringer of a seven year period of peace:
“The Mahdi will fill the earth with equity and justice as it was filled with oppression and tyranny, and he will rule for seven years.”
The seven year rule of the Mahdi is preceded by the seven year peace treaty which is said to be made with a descendant of Moses’ brother, Aaron the Priest. With all the bloodshed beginning from 2011, we expect that someone will arise by 2018 to say that ISIS style bloodshed and Sunni-Shiite killings must come to and end by planting forces in the troubled regions from Turkey. Egypt will be chaotic in the next few years and Libya is already chaotic. Turkey will move in fulfilling Daniel 11 that Antichrist must enter Libya and Egypt.
And with the world begging to have Islamic reformation, Erdogan is the man. He is perceived as a moderate Muslim who offers the world what is termed as the “Turkish Model”. And if Rome has a Pope, who is to argue that a Muslim coalition of states cannot have a Caliph led by Turkey? Expect in the next few years that Muslims will demand that right.
I have written years ago in God’s War on Terror:
“Here is my challenge to the West, which I know that no one can refute: Westerners do not understand that when it comes to the Muslim world, even the most “moderate” of Muslims, if they are religious, all believe in the coming of the Mahdi and the establishment of the Caliphate to rule the entire Globe by changing world laws to adapt the Islamic Sharia. The coming of the Mahdi to religious Muslims is as holy of a belief as the coming of Messiah is to Christians and Jews …
According to Islamic tradition, the Mahdi doesn’t merely emerge as some vague great religious leader, he will return to reinstate the office of the Caliphate. Islam directs its followers: “If you see him, go and give him your allegiance, even if you have to crawl over ice, because he is the Vice-regent (Khalifa) of Allah, the Mahdi.” “For he will pave the way for, and establish the government of, the family [or community] of Mohammed…Every believer will be obligated to support him.”
And if we look at Obama’s policies in the Middle East, he is not bending the knee to the Saudi royals as thought by many, but to Erdogan. Obama’s policies towards Iran and Saudi Arabia mimics Erdogan’s. One would wonder, why would Obama who comes from a Sunni background be allowing Iran to get away with so much including threatening Saudi Arabia? It was Erdogan who defended Iran’s nuclear dreams, not Saudi Arabia who wanted nothing but for Israel to destroys Iran’s capabilities.
What we see here is the beginning embryo and birth of a grand idea set by between Erdogan and the spiritual head of the Sunni Muslim world in which its declared that such confederacy for the Caliphate will be established in Istanbul, Turkey as the center for all these different states which must be seen and we translated for you here:
So, folks will ask: are we seeing the rising Antichrist? Is this the one? So far all Prophecy analysts have been dead wrong when they gave a name of the Antichrist. This says much about their capabilities and the naive still listens to them. But when it comes to his origin, let us all be wrong and Christ alone be right when He said that Pergamum (Turkey) and not Rome is his seat. By this Christ was telling Turkey: “thou art the seat of Satan (Antichrist)”:
“To the angel of the church in Pergamum write: These are the words of him who has the sharp, double-edged sword. I know where you live—where Satan has his throne.(Revelation 2:12-13)”
Folks who are mired with western style analysis over the issue of Antichrist always pose questions and create issues they believe that an Islamic Antichrist is impossible, how can a Muslim declare he is God? The answers to this and to so many questions are easily handled. Only a Sufi Muslim can fulfill Daniel in which he declares war on the strongest fortresses in a name of a foreign god (Daniel 11) while at the same time fulfill 2 Thessalonians 2 announcing himself to being God (for more on this click here).
To understand it all please consider God’s War On Terror, Islam Prophecy and The Bible.
