So in Turkey, NATO members joined on the stage holding hands together to literally “sing a last song for peace” which gets to show how close we are to the time of the end. They chose Michael Jackson’s “We Are The World” as if the dead Jackson has the greatest insight on how to have peace in our times. The New York Times covered the story with these words:
“Officials including Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg and European Union Foreign Policy Chief Federica Mogherini were invited by a Turkish band performing at their Wednesday dinner in Antalya to sing a “last song for peace” at the end of the evening. “We Are The World” was written by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie for the 1985 charity album of the same name.
According to Hurriyet, a Turkish newspaper, Turkish Foreign Minister, Mevlut Cavusoglu, host of the dinner, invited his colleagues to join him onstage with members of a local band to sing a “song for peace.”
Now watch the Turkish Foreign Minister, Mevlut Cavusoglu at the tenth second. Trying to read the lips of Cavusoglu after the words “we are the world, we are the children,” he says something totally different from the rest. It is definitely not “We are the ones who make a brighter day so let’s start giving,” and it looks more like he is saying “Yah dee dee da da Yah dee da da Yah dee da da Daa”.
Here we have the foreign minister of Greece Nikos Kotzias swaying his arms singing the line, “There’s a choice we’re making — we’re saving our own lives,” and the Muslim Cavusoglu sings “Yah dee da da”!
For the Greek, as it is for the Muslim, Christ does not save, the nations instead will save their own lives and the Messiah was a guy named Jackson. It should be no wonder then, that God answers: “when they say peace and safety, sudden destruction will come” (1 Thessalonians 5:3).
When Turkey invaded Cyprus in 1974, the second wave of that invasion titled by the Turks as Atilla II, was launched by Ankara as peace talks between the two nations were underway. When the Muslim ‘calls for peace’, he is always ‘preparing for war’ and is why God says “when they say peace and safety, sudden destruction will come” (1 Thessalonians 5:3).
