Because of our readers and donors continued generosity, this quarter we are on track to release a further 3000 people from slavery which translates into about 425 families. The cost of each rescue was $600, because of the volume of rescues we have been able to bring the cost down per family to $520 per family as we are able to purchase beds, pots and pans as well as food at volume discounts. Through our vast network of contacts we have also been able to have a backlogue of hundreds of good quality paying jobs so that when we release the slaves the families can support themselves properly. This is an amazing successful program and by the grace of G-d we will save thousands more people. There are about 150,000 Christian slaves in Pakistan and by the end of this year we will have released around 10% which will be incredible. Our goal is to release all of them and if we can step up our efforts over next few years we can exceed all our expectations.
The joy and relief on all these poor people make this worthwhile and you can see this on the videos we produce to show faces to the people you are helping free from miserable bondage.
